Revved up like a douche...



What song lyrics had you baffled, or singing something totally different until you read the lyrics? I was blinded like so many to Manfred Mann's Earth Band's version of Bruce Springsteen's tune, Blinded by the Light - thinking the lyric went as follows:

Blinded by the light, revved up like a douche, to a rumor in the night...

when it actually went:

...revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night...

I was just a lad when I saw Stanley Jordan play a solo show at the Bottom Line in NYC... and was lucky enough to sit front and center, literally at his feet, and could really watch his fretwork. I was totally transfixed by his technique, his tone, and his punctuality... (just seeing if you're paying attention... ;)
